Yes, please compile and publish! (Although I'm the reader who originally suggested it!) You never know how people will find their way to your writing. I started reading your fiction because I liked the nuance and compassion shown in these uber essays.
Shawn, this is so good. I appreciate your entering in and sharing these stories...
I think there’s a “privilege” in getting to decide if we “want” to enter into something uncomfortable...we all have boundaries, but how often our my boundaries founded more in me being “comfortable” and “clean?”
Also, we’re all jacked up when you dig in, right?
My counselor once said “you trust theoretically that Christ will catch you if you fall, but...so much of your life seems built around never having to actually “use” that trust.”
We need to take the plunge and trust Christ is either going to be there or not.
Thank you for opening a small door into the world of the imago dei here.
"It's a first chance kind of life and we have to do our best with it." Sober compassion. Thank you.

Good stuff, as always, Shawn!
Wow, this is great. Would love to read more of these - you should definitely compile them!
Thanks, Grace.
I’ll be carrying that thought of a “first chance kind of life” with me for quite a while. Thank you for this story, and I’d love to read more.
Thanks, Briana.
I loved your Rideshare Confessional Story. I hope you do compile them. I'd buy that book.
