Why You Should Tell the Ones You Love that You're a Writer
Nine Month Novel, Week 3: Writing Routines
Welcome to our Nine Month Novel series! You can either use this series of posts and videos every Friday to write your own novel in around nine months, or you can simply watch each one individually and receive encouragement in whatever area the video covers for the week. I’d love for you to comment below and ask any questions that come to mind! All 78 of our writing videos (which include the series for the Nine Month Novel, Six Month Memoir, and the ReVision Experience) are available to paying subscribers anytime.
Today we’re talking about writing routines. I talk about why I write (or wrote) 1,000 words a day and what my annual writing rhythm tends to look like. Maile shares what works for her as a Mom of six kids (at the time we made this video, they were all living at home).
We also talk about why it’s important to have these conversations with the folks in your life who would be impacted by you having a regular writing routine. We can’t expect people to understand the importance of this time to us unless we talk about it.
