Studying pace and starting again...

Today I read a little more from Steinbeck's Journal of a Novel. I talk about whether or not I'm happy with the pace of this story so far. I consider going back and starting in the beginning, reading through and finding ways to include more hooks and study the pace. Not sure what I'll do.
