If there’s anything that saves my brain from self-destruction, it’s taking a walk with Maile and our dog Winnie on these cold, late-autumn mornings (seen below, leading the way down a rather steep hill that nestles up against the Conestoga River).
This morning’s walk was even better because Maile helped me work through some of my murder mystery problems (a novel, not real life).

Finally, we had a great chat with author Patrice Gopo about place and belonging! We explored what it might look like to use our imagination when considering other people's stories. What if we made room for the unexpected? How are we connected to the places where we started? You can listen to this fun conversation HERE.

I’ll be back later this week with our regularly scheduled writing. Until then, be well!
